I bought In Rainbows on CD at the weekend despite having paid £3 to download it when it came out. So I’ve now paid £13 to get the same album twice. Am I officially an idiot?

It does raise an interesting issue regarding the endless debate about the impact of music downloads on the industry. Evidence that people really do prefer to purchase a CD when it comes to bands they particularly like.
It is the fact that the band here are whiny singing goblins that makes the answer to your question obvious to me.
There’s also the fact that the MP3s were only 160kbps as well. Still, at least I didn’t piss away £40 on the disc box thingy.
Why did you get the 2nd one? Was it the album artwork? Better quality sound?
Don’t feel bad. I own some of the same movies on DVD and VHS. I often wonder why I bothered with that (Oh ya, the quality of VHS tapes that are 10 years old is shite…)
